Guillermo "Memo" Gonzalez age 55 and a resident of Porterville passed away on August 23, 2014. Memo was born on October 1, 1958 to Silverio and Ignacia Gonzalez. He was employed for many years for the National Vitamin plant in Porterville as a machine operator. Memo was a devoted husband and father, his children and grandchildren meant the world to him so spending time with them while BBQing and fishing was a great joy. Memo loved going to the beach every year for both Father's Day and 4th of July but nothing more special than going there for his anniversary to celebrate with the love of his life Elsa. This tradition kept growing amongst the family as every year more and more family also joined in on the fun. Memo was a serious and avid 49er fan who owned anything and everything 49er. If it was 49er memorabilia, Memo would definitely have it. Memo leaves behind his loving and caring wife Elsa Gonzalez. One Son: Rudy Gonzalez. 3 Daughters: Valerie Torrez and husband Alex, Sandra "Nikkie" Torres and husband Anthony and Monique Garcia. 5 Grandchildren: Alex Torrez Jr., Kitara Torrez, Connie Torrez, Rudy Ray Gonzalez Jr. and Anthony Torres. Memo had much extended family and was cared for and loved by all who knew him. He will be missed dearly.
