Helen Karam Landucci was born October 21, 1928, in Utica, N.Y. to Nazira Hobika and Michael\n\nD. Karam. Growing up in her Lebanese family some of her many memories included watching\n\nher father and uncle write Arabic, caring for her family when they were sick, and watching her\n\nmother cook their delicious cultural foods. She was fluent in Arabic and English. Her family\n\nmoved to Bakersfield, CA when she was a young teen. Later, she was a devoted wife, mother,\n\nvolunteer, and Cub Scout den mother. She was married for 68 years to Freddie Landucci whom\n\nshe loved dearly. She was raised in the Catholic church. She and her husband Freddie were\n\nmembers and attended St. Joseph's Church in Bakersfield for many years. In the winter of 2020\n\nshe moved to Porterville, CA where she joined St. John's Anglican Church. She worked as a\n\nPink Lady volunteer for 26yrs at Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield where she helped patients,\n\nhealthcare workers and visitors. Helen always loved volunteering and appreciated the people\n\nwith whom she worked. She loved traveling with her husband and children taking them on fun\n\nadventures all around California especially Disneyland. Later, she enjoyed traveling with Freddie\n\nand friends to Las Vegas and Laughlin, NV. We will remember her wonderful homemade\n\nlebanese dishes. We will miss her fearlessness, humor, love, and pride towards her family.\n\nHelen is predeceased by her parents, four brothers (George, Joseph, John, & Louis), her\n\nhusband, Freddie L. Landucci, and her son, Mark S. Landucci. She is survived by her children,\n\nJanice Morris (David), Fred Landucci (Allison), Steven Landucci (Laura), and daughter-in-law\n\nMargaret Landucci. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.\n\nServices will be held on July 13, 2022, at Porterville Funeral & Cremation Center in Porterville,\n\nCA. Visitation at 10:30 a.m. and service at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at 10:45 a.m. on July\n\n14th at National Cemetery Bakersfield, Bakersfield, CA. In lieu of flowers donations may be\n\nmade to St. Judes Children's Hospital.
