Javier Manuel Hernandez who has been a resident of Porterville for 53 years passed away January 30, 2013 in Porterville. Javier was born December 9, 1946 to Flumencio and Carolina Hernandez at Adams Garden, TX and moved to Porterville in 1960. He was employed by the Porterville Developmental Center for 26 years as a Unit Inspector until he retired and had more time to enjoy golfing and fishing. Javier had a good sense of humor and liked to clown around teasing people and make them laugh. Visiting family in Texas, spending time at Pismo or Morro Bay and visiting different casinos were also things he liked to do. He was preceded in death by his mother Carolina Hernandez in 1988 and his sisters Carolina Hernandez in 2006 and Delfina Hernandez in 2007. Surviving family includes his Father Flumencio Hernandez of Porterville. Daughters: Kathy Campbell and Debbie Ruiz of Porterville. Brothers: Jose Angel Hernandez and Salvador Hernandez of Porterville. Sisters: Lupe Ramirez of Porterville and Noemi Hernandez of WA. Grandchildren: Madison Campbell, Zackary Campbell, Robert Ruiz, Ashley Ruiz and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 3:00pm to 8:00pm Monday February 4th at La Mission De Jesus, 765 W. Henderson Ave., Porterville. Funeral Services will be 10:00am Tuesday February 5th also at La Mission De Jesus followed by interment at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, Porterville.
