John Abel Herrera Jr. Obituary (1953 - 2022)

John Herrera, 69 of Porterville, California passed away peacefully on Monday, February 7th surrounded by his family. He was a wonderful companion, father, grandfather and friend. He was preceded in death by his parent's Abelardo Herrera and Gloria Gonzales and Sisters Becky Gable and Kathy Herrera Ciruso. He leaves behind his long time companion, Juanita Zavala, his daughter's Jody Herrera, Heidi Horton, and husband Jonathan Horton and son, John Herrera and wife Jennifer. He is survived by his brother's Eric Hernandez and wife Frances, Jim Herrera and a sister Diane Stokes and Husband Berry. He had four grandchildren whom he adored, Haile Herrera, Steven Horton, Andrew Horton and Joseph Pearson and numerous family and friends. John had a passion for singing and loved playing his guitar. His other hobbies included fishing and the casinos. For those who knew him, loved him, and will miss him dearly.
