Johnny Hernandez Gonzales, passed away peacefully at his home on the Tule River Indian Reservation, on Friday , July 9 2021, surrounded by his family and friends. He was 87. Johnny was born on March 30, 1934 in Porterville , CA to Macario Gonzales and Mary Gonzales (Hernandez). He married Ludrie Ellen Gonzales (Manuel) and together had 8 children. Elizabeth Perez, Ruben Gonzales, John Gonzales, Brian Gonzales, Deanna Gonzales, Donna Medrano, Dinah Gonzales and Robert Gonzales. Johnny worked at Waterman Industries as a Iron worker For over 30 years. He loved to cook and was known for his delicious menudo, salsa and nopales. Johnny was an avid fisherman an outdoorsman love to hunt and cut wood and spending time with family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, children, sister (Eustolia Zamora) brother, (Anthony Gonzales), 19 grandchildren, 38 Great grand children and 1 Great Great grand grandchild and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Gonzales, Father, Macario Gonzales, Brothers, Jesus, Jesse and Gilbert Gonzales, sister, Amada Hernandez Gonzales,son, Brian Gonzales and great grandson, Savior Cortez Medrano.\n\nA viewing will be held at Porterville Funeral & Cremation Center on Sunday , July 18, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Rosary will be held at Porterville Funeral & Cremation Center on Sunday , July 18, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. On the following morning of July 19, 2021 at 8:30 a.m. the funeral procession will leave from Porterville Funeral & Cremation Center to the Tule River Indian Reservation, Upper Cemetery.\n\nTo sign Johnny Hernandez Gonzales's online Register book or leave a message of condolence go to www.portervillefuneral.com.
