Larry Reyes Villegas age 37 and a lifelong resident of Terra Bella passed away July 1, 2013 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Larry was born December 6, 1975 in Lindsay to Albert and Virginia Villegas and received his elementary education through the Terra Bella Unified School District and was very active in local youth sports programs. At Porterville High School he played base drum with both the Drum Line and Panther Band and was the recipient of the Frank Howard Award prior to his graduation in 1994. Soon thereafter Larry began working at Olive Ave. Save Mart Grocery Store as a bagger and quickly worked his way up to checker and then after management classes was promoted to his current position as floor manager. Larry enjoyed playing golf, listening to R&B music, drawing, cheering for the Cowboys and Lakers and working in his yard. He liked to be with friends and family but the highlight of any day was spending time with his children. Larry loved the Dallas Cowboys, for anyone attending the services you are free to wear the Cowboy colors or anything you have Cowboys. Surviving family includes his children: Ceslie and William Villegas, both of Porterville. Parents Albert and Virginia Villegas of Porterville. 2 brothers: Salvador and wife Angie Villegas of Terra Bella and Albert Villegas Jr. of Terra Bella. Sister Tiffany Villegas and husband Jaime Valencia of Porterville. Visitation will be Sunday July 7th at Whitehurst-Peters-Loyd Chapel from 11:00am to 8:00pm with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00pm. Mass of the Resurrection will be 9:00am Monday July 8th at St. Anne's Catholic Church followed by cremation and interment at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Porterville. A reception to celebrate Larry's life will be at the Veterans Hall on Olive Avenue from 10:30am -4:30 pm.
