In loving memory of the love of my life Luis C. Arteaga Jr. who on November 15, 2021 passed away and has gone to be with our Lord and Savior at the age of 54. He was born on October 19, 1967 to Luis C. Arteaga Sr. and Donna Sue Arteaga although he was born in Tulare, California he lived in Porterville, California all of his life. Luis graduated from Porterville High School in 1985 where he loved playing basketball, baseball, tennis, and football as well as track and field. He was even awarded the Ronald Regan Physical Fitness award in recognition of outstanding physical achievement and dedication to a sound mind and a strong body. After graduation he went on to work for some local companies such as Royalty Carpet, Beckman's Coulter, and Lindsay Olive Plant just to name a few. Eventually he went into the A/C and heating business working for companies such as Darrell's Air Conditioning, Blasingame's Air Conditioning, Zone Air Conditioning, Prosperity Air Conditioning and finally Gray's Heating and Air Conditioning after working for the company for 14 years or more as a sheet metal installation specialist they went out of business. He truly was a man of all trades who could work on or fix anything. Extra curricular activities he enjoyed were playing darts, fishing, camping, and rocking out to his favorite music. Luis enjoyed spending time at home with his life companion of 13 years Jacqueline Hurtado 44 of Porterville. He loved his 2 biological children more than anything in the world, a daughter Sierra Arteaga 27 of Porterville and a son Noah Arteaga 19 of the Tule River Indian Reservation. He loved his 3 step children as well Gabriel Sanchez Jr. 23, Xavier Sanchez 22, and Joseph Champion 17 all of Porterville. Survivors include his father Luis C. Arteaga Sr., sister Michelle Hunter, sister Emily Arteaga, aunt, uncles, and cousins from Texas and Porterville. He is preceded in death by his mother Donna Sue Hunter and grandmother Lois Melvina Hunter.
