Monte Meyers, 88, of Mesquite, Nevada, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2023.\n\nMonte was born in Sibley, Iowa on September 30, 1934. He raised a family in Bellflower, California, before moving to Lindsay, where he worked for over 20 years to maintain the Lindsay and Strathmore Memorial buildings until his retirement in 1997. He lived life to its fullest, especially in his retirement. He loved country music and loved to travel to beautiful natural places like Yellowstone and Glacier Bay national parks. He was candid and outgoing, and made friends wherever he would go. He was well-liked in every community that he was a part of during his full and ample life.\n\nMonte is survived by his son-in-law and daughter, Robin and Sharon Wyckoff, grandson, Tyler Wyckoff, and wife, Kara Meyers. He is predeceased by his first wife, Marie Meyers and son, Monte Meyers Jr and his three siblings, Barbara Johnson, Martha Walter, and Merle Meyers.
