In Loving Memory of Terri Moreno Terri Moreno of Tipton, California died on September 15, 2021 due to cancer. She was 65. Though dealing with serious health issues for the last several years of her life, Terri's positive spirit, bright smile, infectious laugh and cheerful demeanor were a remarkable constant.\n\nBorn on February 23, 1956 in Tulare, California to Samuel and Mary Perry, Terri attended Delano High School and Federico's Beauty College. With barbering a long tradition in the Moreno family, Terri became Chief Financial Officer of the Bakersfield Barber College, where two of her children and her sister-in-law teach and run the school. Prior to operating the barber college, she also spent many years helping to run the family farm, Perry Farm and Land Development. She volunteered to teach catechism at St. John's Catholic school, as well as English as a Second Language (ESL) for and was named Tipton's 2013 Volunteer of the Year.\n\nTerri was a devoted wife, mom, the most loving and best Nana, sister, aunt, friend and just an amazing person. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Gilbert Moreno, daughter and son-in-law, Alicia and Justin Riley and their six children, Molly, Blake, Carson, Zachary, Paige and Jaxon; daughter and son-in-law Adriana and Mark Madrid and their family, Amanda, Destiny and Ryan; daughter Ana; son John; three sisters, Marie and her husband Terry, Dorothy and Susana; and sister-in-law Trish L'Abbe; brothers-in-law, Alfred and Rose Moreno; and Leonel Alves. Terri had numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren.\n\nRosary/Funeral mass will be held on Monday, October 4th, at St. John's Catholic Church in Tipton at 9am. Burial will follow at Tulare District Cemetery.
