Wanda Jean "Ford" Trice age 64 and a resident of Ducor for 37 years passed away on March 29, 2016. Wanda was born January 5, 1952 in Decatur, Texas to Wallace and Jean Ford. Wanda married the love of her life on March 18, 1971. They soon added three boys Michael, Daniel "Bubba" and Kelly to complete their family. Wanda coached the Red Barons Tee-Ball team for many years in Ducor, making lasting memories for many area children who some still call her coach. She was also known as the best babysitter for many area parents. Wanda had always loved all her animals, she would rescue and find good homes for many strays. For the last few years she would call her house "The cat haven." She had over 40 cats spayed and neutered within the past couple of years. She also raised over 50 turtles. She was proud to be called "The cat lady" and "The turtle lady". She enjoyed working in the yard and she had a passion for Cactus and "California Poppies." She enjoyed making quilts, many for her family and the last few years she donated close to 100 quilts to the homeless. Wanda was a wonderful caregiver for Aunt Belle and Donnie Amos. She is preceded in death by her son Kelly Trice in 1991. The love of her life, her husband Mike Trice. Her father Wallace Ford. 4 Brothers: Marvin, Tommy, Joe and Danny Ford. She is survived by her sons Michael Trice, Daniel "Bubba" and daughter- in - law Lilah Trice. Grandchildren: Tiffany Hughes, DJ Hughes, Adam Hughes, Brandon Trice, Breanna Trice and Chevy Trice. Numerous nieces and nephews. Wanda is at peace now. She is with her baby boy and her love Mike.
